If any man lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not, and it shall be given him.
-James 1:5.

GUIDANCE
J. McE. Vincent
When great decisions are pending,
You do not know just what to do,
Questions of weight seem unending,
You can’t see the wisest way through,
Go to the great God who made you,
And spread it before hiim in prayer,
Ask for direction and guidance,
And then leave the whole matter there.
His hands will guide and direct you,
His wisdom, your wisdom shall be.
He said, in labor and trouble,
Let My children come unto Me.
It will be recalled that some time ago Steinmetz, the wizard of power resources, wrote to Babson, the wizard of business movements: “The greatest power of all is in our midst unscratched today. I refer to the spiritual power that comes through right living and worship. Our fathers knew the power of prayer, the economic importance of Sabbath observance, and the need of family and public worship. To this fact America owes its growth. Today this power is temporarily forgotten. Some day it will be harnessed. Then America will be truly healthy, happy, safe.
There is a democracy in this matter. We may differ among ourselves as to our wealth, as to our social position, as to our educational equipment, as to native ability, as to our inherited charcteristics; but in the matter of exercising the greatest force that is at work in the world today, we are on the same footing.
-John R. Mott.
Prayer is the greatest force that we can wield. It is the greatest talent which God has given us.
Prayer is the key that unlocks every door of difficulty. But a key is not used only once a day; it is used every time you come to a locked door.
“I am able,” saith the Master,
“To forgive your every sin.
If you only trust Me fully
You can be made pure within.”
